Machine Learning: Applications

Events

20/04/2018 Data Science Day – Speedposter session

SIG ML:A had its running start by showcasing a wide range of applications of machine learning that groups from diverse departments and faculties are working on. Examples include text mining of electronic health records, deep learning of EEG signals, and classification of stroke victims using VR supermarket eye tracking and movements, among several others.

20/06/2018 Discussion Meeting SIG ML:A

The meeting involved machine learning experts and domain researchers, with the aim to explore potential innovative collaborations that apply machine learning in different fields. Daniel Oberski (Social and Behavioural Sciences, Methodology and Statistics) and Arno Siebes (Science, Artificial Intelligence) led the discussion.

This meeting was a starting point to sprout future topics for potential seed money grants within the focus area Applied Data Science.
